History:
Unlike many other large cats, cheetahs rarely show hostility towards humans and are known to be fairly sociable. Because of this, throughout history many different civilizations have seen and interacted with cheetahs, thus incorporating them into their folklore and art. Sadly, cheetahs have recently been classified as a vulnerable species due to a large influx of illegal poaching.
