Description
- Like other cat species, leopard cubs are born with their eyes closed and rely on their mothers for protection and food. In fact, leopards don’t go out on their own until they’re 2 years old. This little guy has gotten separated from its family and wants to tag along with you!
- Scientific Name: Panthera pardus
- Characteristics: Although in time this cute cub will grow into a fearsome predator, right now it’s more inquisitive than aggressive and is approaching you with a confident strut. Hand painted and crafted with professional standards in mind, this leopard cub figurine is looking for a comfortable home where it can lay around and not have to hunt for its meals!
- Size and Color: 3.1 inches long and 1.55 inches tall, the leopard cub is about the size of a deck of cards stood on its side. Exhibiting the rosetted pelt pattern unique to leopards, this figurine is a mix of sandy tan and white fur with distinct black and orange makings.
- The Leopard Cub is part of the Wild Safari® Wildlife collection.
- All of our products are Non-toxic and BPA free.
History:
Although leopards have the widest natural distribution of any large cat, including parts of Africa and southern Asia, they are unfortunately classified as a vulnerable species. Like many exotic species endemic to those regions, they are suffering from a dramatic loss of their natural habitat due to human incursion and deforestation, as well as an increased level of illegal poaching. This tiny cub needs its mother to keep it safe, and would pair wonderfully with our adult leopard figurine.
