History
Collared lizards can be found in a wide range of habitats, including areas of sagebrush and pinyon-juniper, as well as grasslands and rocky outcrops. With no sympathy for their fellow kind, collared lizards have been documented as not only eating insects like grasshoppers and crickets, but other lizards as well – even other collared lizards! With no current risk of becoming threatened or endangered, collared lizards are free to scuttle around the desert to their heart’s content!
