History:

Many bats that live in temperate zones either hibernate or migrate in order to deal with the cold winter months. However, the brown bat does both. When it begins to become cold during the fall, brown bats will fly south and mate. After they’ve mated, they hibernate in the warmer region until they can once again return north for spring and summer.
